As there is no Optimax in the area I have found a BP that sells Ultimate instead but when I go into that petrol station the car plays up and gives me oil level warnings. If I restart it whilst still there the error stays but if I restart away from it all is well. Oil level is perfect.

The first two times I thought that's a coincidence, the third time weird and tonight it has happened for the fourth time and I think there must be something at the garage causing the interference. This has never happened anywhere else and it has happened every time I have been to that garage (visits are months apart)

I'm now looking for another petrol station that sells premium unleaded - any ideas what would cause this interference and whether it would cause permanent damage to the ECU or am I just a lunatic?

Thank you guys

What if you go somewhere else, remove filler cap, wait a bit, filler cap back on, restart car?

I think it only does a proper check with the cap off as it "knows" in a gas staiton youre on level ground (so I'm told)

It's only done it at this petrol station never at any others. I'll try it in the car park see what happens. I've checked the oil level and it's full but not overfull. Thanks.
