Has anybody here got or had experience of buying/running a Daytona - either a GTB or GTS?

Gregor Fisken have a nice looking 1970 car in red which was originally a fixed head and was converted by Graypaul to a spyder in the mid 90's (at the same time they apparently undertook a full restoration).

There is a very similar looking car on Bob Houghton's website - www.racecar.co.uk/bobhoughton/index.htm

It could well be the same car

I might be able to help.

Not on here that regularly, but happy to be emailed if you want to know what to look for...

Overall - wonderful machine, and one of the best shapes Ferrari ever did. Do not think modern car at all, but they can be hustled along pretty sharpish and won't be shamed by modern kit.

Just looked and think it's a '73 (if it's the same car).

Personally I wouldn't have (didn't want) a drop top. Not a fan of cars that weren't designed to be that way from the off - the looks don't do it for me and you're potentially in for a lot of scuttle shake etc.

I'd have a look for a decent GTB, unless you can stretch to an official GTS.
