I have noted that most of the Enzos registered in the UK do not display a front number plate.

How do they get away with this.

I tried it and got a fine!

I seem to get away with it, never had any problems.

A bit of a hijack.

[assumption mode]

I saw a guy with dubious spacing, and dodgy use of numberplate fasteners, get pulled on Friday night. Fair enough, but it was from lane 3 on the M1 at about 19.00.

Bearing in mind that the hard shoulder is the most dangerous place on earth (with possible exception of Paris Hilton's pants) was this sensible I wonder?

[/assumption mode]

I couldn't see any other offence taking place

Police would probably understand that on an Enzo it is quite difficult to find a place to put it. The stickers are also horrid. I don't think its an offence that can get you points is it??

No, usually a standard £30 non endorsable fine. It will only get more problematic if you keep getting pulled for it.

Ive seen mostly on Lambos that you can get really small plates, they don't look to bad.

I guess if its only a fine and you can afford an Enzo then it doesnt hurt the bank balance much

And numberplates are to individually distinguish a car. I'd say an Enzo does a pretty good job on it's own already...

Ferrari provide you with a certificate of excemption with the car that means you dont have to have a front number plate

I've never heard of that before. What does a car have to do to get an exemption?

I believe if the car was never designed to carry a front numberplate, then it isn't required

I never used to run a front numberplate on my m'sport elise , never got pulled (well for that anyway)

That being the case the Alfa 156 wouldn't have to wear one!

I'm pretty sure there are no exceptions at all.
