Maserati 3200 Oil
Discussion
Does anyone have experience with exactly what oil Verdi's use in a Maserati 3200? I've received some conflicting answers.
I believe it's a Shell Helix 10/60, so it seems that Shell Helix Racing would then be the only option. But this doesn't seem to be an oil you can buy off the shelf at a Shell station.
Any input would be appreciated.

Selenia 10/60 Racing is prescribed in the 3200GT owner's manual, not sure if Verdis adhere to this.
If you don't have a Ferrari/Maserati dealership nearby then you should be able to pick it up Selenia from an Alfa dealership no problem, and probably cheaper. It's even cheaper buying off the web.
I've occasionally topped up with other 10/60 synthetics, I don't see it as huge problem although given the chance I would prefer not to mix and match.

I was told by stratstone manchester that they would use shell helix. However just had a service and the bill said they had used selenia. Noting how tempremental these cars are I am glad they are using the reccomended oil. However any oil of the same grade should do the same job. Just would not want to try it on my car.
