£40k Diablo...
Discussion
I've been watching the prices on these come down steadily for quite a while .... I reckon that these are going to represent incredible value for money. They will always be stunning, the only slight quibble is the interior standard on many of the examples I've seen.
Still ... you can get a beautifully rebuilt Mk1 E-type for less .... decisions!

WHOAHHHHH!
Wow, presumably you would need another 40k per annum to run it, but what a car to have for 40k
My main piece of advice when someone's thinking of buying a Diablo (or any supercar for that matter) is that they remember the original selling price.
A Diablo would originally have sold for between £135K and £160K depending on spec. That was a serious amount of money and when the average house price was still £75K!
By all means go for it, an old 92/93 car can be cheap to insure but, buy a wrong 'un and it will cripple you.
If you listen very closely to a Diablo owner, you can normally hear them constantly muttering "Suspension, Clutch and Brakes" to themselves in barely audible tones. You have been warned!
Other than that, go for it! Life's too short!

Wow! It's amazing what difference updating the wheels on a 93 Diablo can do. The stickers on the wheel arches definitely need to go. The colour coded base plates of the mirrors gives away the fact that it's a 2wd and not 94 onwards VT. The rear end needs updating, didn't the seller say a 6.0 rear bumper has been fitted?!

complete clutch 5k complete clutch 5k complete clutch 5k complete clutch 5k, oh just buy it you know you want it.
Is it true a clutch lasts on average 5 to 6k even if driven normal pace? Normal pace meaning no track days just a good 50/60 mile fast blat once a week type thing to keep it wet with maybe a 150 mile good drive once a month? Not really used around town just drive when you want to drive... 5 k is a lot of dosh if your doing it once a year, thats what puts me off..
It looks stunning... got to have one. Pity it dont fit in a standard modern garage.
