355 Owners - Cheap challenge rear grill?

Hi,
Just a quick question to test the water for a friend. I picked up a (damaged) challenge rear grill for my 355 yesterday and am having it repaired by a small specialist body parts outfit (it was a 'chance buy' as could have been shot and I'd only seen a pic but luckily they say it's not bad and a doddle to repair perfectly).
Upon explaining why I was so keen on buying it, I explained that they're stoopid money original and new but quite a desirable option. He said that making copies was something they could do for 'about' half the factory price (£800 inc. VAT) - Let's face it, it's only a formed mesh piece and I guess Ferrari charge their price due to fairly limited numbers being produced.
I said I'd ask a quick question on here to see if anyone would be interested in one or just your thoughts in general before he cracks on with making a few? Obviously it's not original but would be a PERFECT copy with all the same clips etc in the right places! (these guys really are one of the best in the land at what they do which is actually making pannels you can no longer buy).
