Good write up on the 40th Aniversary Celebrations in Brighton the other weekend. Lots of pictures of various Lambo's, some better known than others. I even managed to get my Mug in on one of them!! Starts on Page 5.

Andy.

Sorry Andy but I thought the article was poor. Lots of pictures of replicas and not much writing.

And it wasn't really a 40th Anniversary celebration, it just happened to coincide with the Miura's 40th.

looks like around half a dozen pics of kit cars in the feature, what a joke, check out the orange car rear louvres, a bit wonky.
i must enter my fake painting in the art show, wonder if i'll get into that? unlikely.

yep - feel like writing in to the jokers

the worst bit was a picture of a real Countach Anniversary that claimed it was a kit...

The most photographed car in the article seemed to be the green 'Diablo'. Nice pic on front cover though

It's nice that Autocar decided to do a piece but it's not much of an effort IMO.
The white Anni Countach is a real one. The Green Diablo is a fake and it's in three shots. The owner must be very happy, though.
At least the two page spread, on the inside cover, shows what a gorilla Andy C is!

I guess as its been pointed out, thats it was'nt the most comprehensive of articles. I just think any media exposure lamborghini (and related events) in the UK can get has to be a good thing!!

As you say shame about the fakes. I wonder when someone will come up with a gallardo Kit!!

Andy.

Shouldn't the fakes have been politely asked to leave, or at least park together in a group? After all, they are not Lamborghini's?

Now you tell me. I was staring at that for about ten minutes yesterday trying to work out the giveaway that showed it was a fake. Doh!

If you were running the event Craig, the fakes would'nt dare turn up.

Just got a copy of Autocar and am delighted to see myself
standing at the back of the fake (green) 'Diablo' in my
aer lingus baseball cap. At that very instant I was wondering if
the guy in the yellow 25th might swap his pink shirt for my
brown jacket

there were 4 replicas at the event and over 130 proper cars. This was more lambo's together in the UK than ever before. Stop nit picking and appreciate the owners that travelled from all over Europe despite the terrible weather and drove them over the weekend.

Also, the Pagani and Enzo weren't even pretending to look like a Lambo - should they have been banned as well!?

There were so many cars involved it would have been impossible to police the event from a "fakes" point of view.
I only got to speak to half of the people I wanted to. And hardly managed to thank the (offensively good looking) Italians for showing up! Shame.

er, I think you missed my point

I said it was a shame that Autocar did a feature on the event and the cars they put in the magazine included the kits...as you say there were 130 cars present so why include 6 photos of kits?
