Got one or thinking about it?
Obviously depends on the mileage you will be doing.
Average mileage, say 8-10k pa, servicing approx £2k pa. belt service every 30ish k. Tyres approx £1k pa. fuel, 15-20 mpg (depends on driving style, b,a,motorways etc). insure it as a modern classic with one of the guys previously mentioned on here and it will cost £500 - £1000ish
Parts are exspensive! hope nothing major goes wrong, but they are not like massers/italians of old, they are pretty reliable nowdays.
But they are not a car you should get into with your head in gear, they are a heart choice! If you want cheap speed then I suggest maybe something souless and german.
Having said that there isn't much out there (for the money) that will give the grin factor that these do.

iv just been looking at the manual for sale at independent motors for 19k, will the manual give less trouble than a Auto? also how easy is it to add later body bits like a gran sport front end and wheels etc apart from the costs of buying these bits!
iv always wanted one and the price for the amount of car like any old Masser seems too good to miss.

Most parts are interchangeable, wheels etc are just a straight swop. As for the auto/manual part of your question, my auto has not been any trouble but I have seen some posts regarding worn clutches but no experience first hand. £19k seems at the bottom end of the price range for these so I assume its an early one with high mileage? check to ensure it has had the recalls done, and I would say only consider it if it has a full main dealer history.
And don't forget ensure it has the red key (this is a must have item).
