I would like to keep my licence please....

Right, I've had it for two weeks (F430) and I'm waiting to see how many speeding fines come through my door over the next couple of months. It wasn't like this in the porker, I was captain slow and sensible unless in a foreign country like France. I just can't help myself. Now, can anyone recommend a good counter measure (laser and radar detectors), I've been looking at the road angel but I'm not sure.I'm off to france in a couple of weeks and I'm guessing the top on the spot fine has gone up from €500.
What if you get stopped again & again for same thing - sure points would follow.
I had a small numberplate on my old Scooby Impreza a few years back. Got stopped once, got a slap on the wrist, then stopped again & they said one more time I would get points. All this happened in the space of 1 week in my area.

Thats a good idea actually
Or, just keep your eyes open and only speed when you KNOW the road is safe and clear. Scotland is particularly good for this, the home counties are not, IMO.
The police are more concerned with inappropriate use of speed and will target places accordingly.
There are a ton of places in Cumbria and Northumberland where you can safely use your car's performance. Of course, the reason it's safe is there's no one there and, for some, showing off is more important than enjoying the car.

I really don't think you should have a radar detector in you car if you are driving in France, the police there really don't like them
I got pulled over in France a few weeks ago, at the time the police checked the car for detectors.
There are loads of stories on PH about people getting held for hours or having the cars seized for having detectors.

Congrats on the car, a fine choice.
I would never advocate buying laser jammer as they are illegal in the UK and abroad but do highly recommend you invest in a front and rear parking sensor
) The one I would recommend is a 'Laser Pro Park', it uses laser technology to judge the distance. Rumour has it it also can effect other laser devices (what a shame) but it's not illegal as the sole purpose of the unit is a parking sensor. Also, I used to have no front number plate on my 360, I did get stoppped in London once and was given 4 days to rectify the fault (no fine).
