Hi there,

There is a Porsche Carrera GT for sale on E-Bay in stunning Lamborghini Orange (Arancia Boralias Metallic). Don't know about you but I quite like it in this colour: -

Amazing colour - but $650k reserve?? Are new Carrera GT's still attracting premiums as I continually read that the market has slowed significantly for them, resulting in reduced pricing.

Perhaps the price includes the house?

I think that it would look better in solid orange with black wheels? Quite retro but cetainly not the best colour combo I could think of!

Jonny,

Yes I'll have it if you're buying!!! - just get the wheels powder coated black would you??

Seriously though - I'd love one - interesting to see how much they will be available for by the winter?

Just an awesome car, anyone else driven one?

I had just over an hour behind the wheel last year, an amazing experience.

Quite right, basalt black or GT Silver are the colours.

Stupid Americans...(bar the UK goon in evo that’s had his car re-painted Speed Yellow)

Think it costs about £25k to get an import compliant for the UK, error!

I haven't seen a sensibly priced UK car for ages.

This time last year I was .0000001mm close to buying one but @ the death no extended warranty put me off, noting I’m not a footballer!

When an early 05 car becomes £200 that’s the time to buy.

I'd happily pay 100 times that for one. even if it was orange.

Agreed, i did my research, last year an 04, effective 12-15 months old done 4k trade was £200-210...if you could find someone to buy the thing!, retail opc @ £250-275.

The car i looked @ was 275, i bid 225 ....the chap would have dealt @ £250 but only 9 months left of warranty & no opc help with clutch or post m warranty, hence no deal!!!

Only Mr Big Hitter need apply.

Guess thats me out.

It seems to me to be only a rumour! I was offered one at 215k that never materialised and also offered others at similar price point, that again never materialised. Even in Europe the prices are not lower than £240k. Joe Macari had a 54 plate car with warranty for 227k a few months back, tom hartley had a red one, brand new but with aston interior, for 280k. 200 miles.

£200k has been mentioned by many as THE price to pay, but I have tried to buy at that price and above, and I also told the Porsche dealer if they found one with at least 1 yr warranty in my preferred colour I'd pay upto £250k. I never heard back from them till now lol.

Winter might change things, but there aren't many UK cars in the first place, 49.

yep no extended warranty worried me too, but I was willing to take a chance on it (it's a Porsche ). The clutch and servicing is not expensive though (actually bloody good value compared to other cars lol) but I guess the engine grenading is always a worry without warranty. I feel impervious with a proper warranty lol. You're right, need deep pockets for this baby, I'm not there yet I guess, as losing £50-£80k in a year is not affordable to me.

Has Porsche officially said no extended warranty? Last year Reading told me they would extend the warranty. £200k may be the bid from traders but the cheapest car Ive seen advertised is the Macari one for £227k.

Oh, low blow, B. The "goon" will be attending our track day. I'll point you out to him.

Fortunately, Mr B is too busy to read Piston Heads, so your insult is probably safe!
