F430 To Lambo LP640?
Discussion
Do you think the 430 will hold its money Davey? Talking to Nick cartright and afew others the 430 market will be dropping in the next few months, but then again they always say that, dont get me wrong i love the 430 but have never had a Lambo before! head says one thing the heart says another!
Not so sure about that ref depreciation, only i think 40 ish comming to UK market next year, show me another "Super Car" for 200k with 640 bhp that looks & goes like a Murci with a 3 year warranty!
Interested to know who offered you the car, main agent?
Not a good start if people are being offered cars for this year
, can only guess you have an deposit down already?

Read the story on the front of todays FT
Once again this US airbag issue has come up, the story says that currently neither Bugatti or Lamborghini (LP640 only) will be allowed to sell their cars in the US next year
The story says that Ferrari are ok, but I think they are wrong - the 430 only has US exemption until the end of the year
Can you imagine how many LP640 cars HROwen will be offered for the UK market if Lambo can't sell in the US - 80-100 at a guess

I have the same predicament. Can have a LP for Q1 2007 or a roadster now. I'm inclined to go for the roadster now. Its tempting but can you really go to the dark side?
Have you ever tried putting the roof onto the Roadster?
I tried and it was enough to put me off the car forever
I'm still waiting for a test drive in the LP640 with Lambo London.
If the car is REALLY as good as all the blurb - then I may be tempted to finally buy a 4WD Lambo.
I have been asking consistantly whether or not their will be a Murci SV - and it's not looking too clever. I understand that is more likely that there will be a Gallardo SV (which I'm sure will be nice) - but I'd rather have an LP640. I think!
Has anybody on the forum driven a LP640? If so - whats the scoop? How does it compare to an orginal Murci and a Diablo SV/6.0 2WD?
Clearly the engine alone is special - but what about the chassis dynamics /handling / suspension setup/ damping?
Any feedback would be gratefully received...
Cheers

Yes, I had a go on the Lambo London car last week
The problem was that driving in London + the A40 is hardly the place to test out the car.
In summary I thought the car was good {in particular the engine response and the e-gear) but looking back on it I can truly say that I prefer driving my Spyder.
I wrote up a quick review on CS www.fcars.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7712
What I’ve read in other reviews is that the car works best when driving at high revs, I never got the chance to really try this.
Hopefully Lambo will organise an event to try the car out on some fast roads, I’m not going to buy one until then
BTW there is another review here: www.rennteam.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=sportscar&Number=258415&page=0&fpart=all

No but I'm willing to overlook that for its superb looks. Supercar ownership should have an element of impracticality which you compromise on. Surely having that impracticality would be worth the looks, excitement etc.. Has anyone actually driven a Roadster?
Practicality is why the 430 sucks. Its almost too practical which consequently makes it boring. A friend of mine called it the Porsche F430 the other day.
PS - you can buy a carbon fibre roof panel for a few grand.
