Was browsing the 348's in the classifieds and spotted this - www.pistonheads.com/sales/81683.htm

Does this mean that a 348 is in essence a 355?

I know they share the same glass, and therefore I suspect the roof and A posts etc are the same.

What else is similar, I have no idea.

No - its a well executed job of a bad idea. IMO.

It looks like a 348 dressed as a 355. Like a Beetle dressed as a 911. Achievable but unnecessary.

nono

Why ?

Yeah, I was thinking "Why?" too.

In my opinion, the standard 348 looks far better than the 348/355 hybrid.

I was just curious if they were both basically the same car...

To be honest I think it looks fantastic! I love the 355 but not so keen on the 348 & this looks like the perfect compromise.

Its the resaon all this work was done that concerns me. If no previous damage to the vehicle was involved then to my eyes its a good buy. If it has been stuffed then repaired then a 'very' good inspection would be required.

Hi Chaa - you need to have the pictures on one of the online photo albums like photobucket. That can then give you aURL link for that pic which you simply post in your thread with [pic]then [/pic] at each end.

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure that car has been purchased by a chap down the road from me- recognise the plate. Must say I didn't clock anything unusual about it from a brief look as I wandered past- looks pretty tidy.

Though it's a shame one always has the inclination to check that it's not an MR2 before smiling appreciatively!

Would I lie to you? Hazy, Rob, Tommo maybe

Personally, I can't wait to get back to a 348. LHD in Rosso Corsa this time will do very nicely yes

I would dearly love one, but it looks like we are going to keep the new build in Spain and rent it out, and I did promise Vicki that I wouldn't go and blow 40 odd grand on a Sunday toy until we sold the place in Spain.

What I can get away with however is releasing a little bit of equity to stick back into a £21-23k left hooker 348

Or I could just release a lot more equity annnd....

(the eternal head over heart predicament!)

AL why buy 2/3 of a ferrari [V8] when you want a proper one with a 12 cylinder

There's a nice looking 348 spider LHD on ebay at the moment. Might be worth inspecting.
