After covering 15,000 miles on the Mich CS rears, and driving all week in the heavy rain (not fun on slick rears measuring 295 in a car that only weighs 1500kg), it was time for a new set of rears. During the fitting the paint from the re-spay i had done a few weeks ago smudged when the alloy was lent against a rubber pad – it looks like the paint is really soft – so my question – does anyone know a alloy re-spay company that actually bakes the paint on to avoid damage during a tyre change? Other than that I have to say that for less than the cost of one new rear tyre, I’m impressed with the results of the alloy repair – the company colour match the factory titanium perfectly.

I had exactly the same problem last week. Two wheels repaired for kerb damage and then one of them got marked when the car went to the bodyshop for the corrosion repair, by the straps on the low loader. The problem is that these days with waterbased paints becoming more widely used the paint is alot softer than the old solvent based. Mine is being re-done again at Lambo FOC. Maybe you should request the same thing?
Just off to test drive the LP640... cant wait!!
