Arrogant Gallardo owner from Northampton
Discussion
When I gidily rushed up to a Pagani F owner grinning like a fool he shit himself
I recon he thought I was going to mug him. He was ok after he noticed I was just an idiot who likes cars though
Some people just want to go about their business without being "hassled". Every now and then someone will comment on my car and it makes my day. I would not tar all lambo drivers with the same brush

Agree with Pesty here, most Lambo owners I've met have all been really friendly, willing to talk about the car, take me for a spin etc (thankyou to r4ymb - Gallardo & shoebag - Diablo VT). As well as those 2 I've also met TonyD (murci) who again was also very open about the car.
Yes, there will always be tossers who bought the car as it was more expensive than anyone elses and who won't liase with the 'lesser' people but fortunately these people tend to be relatively few and far between. My Chimaera, though no-where near a supercar, draws a fair bit of attention and I always aim to be polite to whoever comes up to talk about it - something I'd do if I were in that or an Enzo.
You'll always get people who are up there own a..e no matter what they drive. When ever anyone who's genuinely interested in my Lambo comes up, I always take time out to talk to them as I rememeber what i was like at 18 seeing an Esprit turbo etc.
Its a shame there are people about like that.
Andy.

Anyway, I finally met the guy as he was getting out of his Freelander to collect his S&M shopping. I tried having a chat with him and he didn't seem bothered, all he gave me was one word replies. When for a joke I said that he should have gotten a Toyota landcruiser instead, he became really agitated and asked why
I often ask this perfectly innocent question
over on the LRO forum, they get terribly vexated,
Some people though are content to get
lambo/rrari'd up to better their standing at the golf club,
A lot of Boxter types, have little interest in the lineage of the Porsche marque
for example,
Sometimes an innocuos opening along the lines of
'what a nice colour your car is'
emotes them,
to draw your interest inside to the splendid cup-holding embellishments, at which point you can safely draw your own conclusion, and scuttle off

Well if a complete stranger came up to me in a supermarket car park and told me I should have bought a different car they would have got the supermarket trolly wrapped round their neck......
Yeah... you have to say probably not the best way to make friends with him..

Why should he talk to you ? he was picking up his shopping for gods sake ,, who knows what else he may have had to do .....
I have to agree with this. You have no idea what was on his mind. You may have been the umpteenth person to come up to him that day. The last person may have been a jealous tosser who really did try to get a rise out of him by saying "why not a Murci?" You just never know.

Agreed. Sometimes your just not in the mood.
LP640, maybe you should consider some people's rights to privacy? Seems he gave you the hint that he was not interested in chatting. Instead of taking umbridge at that, maybe you should have gone about your own business instead of then going on to making a stupid "joke".
To then come on here and call him a "arrogant tosser", publicising his reg no, is rich to say the least.

He's one arrogant to**er which really took me by surprise as all the other Lambo owners I have met before, like you guys on PH, are just so down to earth and you seem to have all the time in the world to disucss Lambos, even with students like myself.
From now on I'll think twice about approaching a Lambo driver...
To be honest I was under the impression you were already an owner from the way you talked about the cars or at least knew somebody with close links to Lamborghini. This may explain why you were treated differently on this board.

Thanks for your vote of confidence!
It's just his way, he's really a smooth, suave, silver tongued fox in real life
And yes, questioning a guy's choice of car when he owns a Lambo and you do not is not exactly subtle.
