hood help

Ok well got the new wheel and tire sorted so been enjoying the car again and she got a bit dirty when thru my usual routine and she was gleaming then i put the roof up and it didnt look as good so couple of questions (probably been asked a million times),
Whats the best thing for cleaning the hood?
secondly any ideas where i can get hold a of a tonneau cover sadly there wasnt one with the car when i bought it, ive tried douglas valley and eurospares ( and ebay lol), but im struggling to find one and i dont fancy paying new prices.

Any help gratefully appreciated...
