Its not a competition but I would appreciate some idea of what Diablo owners have spent on their car in the last year excluding upgrades, insurance and petrol ie repairs and servicing

An indication of your miles in the last year would be useful.

I hope I am not prying but just doing some sums as I weigh one up prior to purchase.

That's £1.1K per 1000 miles of fun eek excluding fuel. I need to re-think any lurking Diablo aspirations.scratchchin

Yep, mine averaged 7.7mpg on the 1st tank & insurance for me is 5k per year.......... That said, you don't buy these cars with a view that they are cheap to run. You can try negate horrendous depreciation by buying smart , but it's still a 180k supercar to run

25, chequered driving history, total loss claim for stolen gt3... Could have got the insurance for 3k, but chose Chubb Masterpiece (agreed value @95k, anyone insured to drive the car, me insured fully comp to drive any car (doesn't matter what insurance they have), like for like in the event of a claim, me to choose who repairs car in event of claim)...

I know people that have claimed through Chubb, and they really are the best money can buy insurance-wise... Yes, it's fleet insurance - i'll drop you a mail with my brokers number

Please don't take this the wrong way, but how do you manage to do only 1.5k miles per year? Seems like an awful waste of a '£180K' car. I know they shouldn't be cnsidered for daily use, but you must have to choose very carefully where and when to use it. One very short trip in to Europe and the mileage allowance is all used up.

Is this normal for Lambo owners?

7.7 eek ? Think I'll be sticking with the fezza for the foreseeable future. Upto 20 MPG on a run means I don't have to keep stopping.
PS. Saw a Black Murci threading by Excel today, anyone on here ?

my main problem currently is having a 4 and a 1 year old, dictating i can't get much lambo time. i guess also after 12 years of lambo ownership imho you don't feel the same need to drive it all the time. i do plan to use it much more next year as my little boy is getting more interested in cars. i dare not admit how few miles i have done this year, single figures!

I have kids of exactly the same age as you. The eldest, a girl, loves going out in the Maserati and shout's 'faster daddy, faster' for most of the journey. She was also the only person in the cinema to notice the two Maserati QP's at the end of the recent Pixar film - Cars. And she can identify most performance cars my name.

She hasn't been in a Lambo yet so fell free to pop round and take her for a spin - she'll love it!

Cheers Jonathan
