Wow, that's a great price.... I'm guessing GST (luxury car tax) isn't applicable to race cars... Hmm that's got me thinking

Yeah - I will take the SE30 (and do a "Jota" on it) - you buy the GTR!!

Having imported a car form Oz in the past I can confirm you would need to pay freight plus 10% of total for import duty - THEN 17.5% VAT on top of that so to be on the safe side multiply the sale price by 129%!!!

No Jota'ing needed sir - started out factory Jota and has only got more powerful

Sadly...and I'm very sorry...the sale has already been agreed in Austria...and actually a pistonheader is already on the waiting list in case it falls through...but will put you 3rd if you like?!

re: GTR....basically the impotr/VAT issue really screws the pooch for getting one of these into the UK doesn't it? b*gger

I saw a program on telly a few weeks ago where a chap had a McLaren F1 and a GTR that had been road registered. Tiff (I think) was driving them back to back and had full earmuff type headphones on becasue the noise from the GTR was too loud to think/talk.

Also being from New Zealand and having regularly imported items up to the UK (and being stung by VAT) I believe you would almost certainly get hit with VAT.

The Silver GTR was the car driven by Lee cunningham (car number 1) and that won the championship.

I have many other photos of the car used in anger in Spa, Magney Cours, Donnington and Monza.
