308 GT4 LIst price new?
Discussion
Toying with one of these as a winter/spring hack when not using the bike and buying it as a company classic car. Commute about 30 miles a day in total.
Can anyone tell me what the list price would have been in 1976 please, as I need to calculate the BIK.
I've had one of these before and quite miss her.

Not entirely true. If the market value is less than 15k, it is not regarded as a classic car by the Inland Revenue and list price applies. However with a gt4, the two are probably pretty similar.

RRP in 1974 was £7698 - without factory options.

Really?...so if I buy a Triumph Slag as my company car I only pay tax on its 1974 list price?????
HMRC define a classic car as one that
- is at least 15 years old at the end of the year of assessment, and
- has a market value of at least £15,000, and
- has a list price lower than market value.
If it does not come within these definitions, the BIK would just be calculated using the list price at the appropriate percentage.

Absolutely, Stags & Jags from the 60's and 70's make great company cars, plus tax and VAT relief on all those repair bills!
