Hi guys,

www.lutziger-classiccars.ch/angebote_cars.html

I came across this CLK GTR which appears to be going for 400,000GBP which is enzo/zonda f money, however much more rare. I believe there is one in Dubai and the owner apparantly paid $1,800,000.
So is there no demand for such a vehicle? I'm very suprised how many are on the market at present and I'm curious as to what has affected their value.
Any one have any thoughts?

Cheers
Adam

BTW, it's on the final page after a number of Porsches. Keep clicking on "Nächste Seite" button to go to next page.

I'd say that something so impractical needs to be beautiful, and with a face that only its mother could love the CLKGTR is bang out of luck for your buck.

only kidding! im not normally a big fan of merc's, for me there are only 2 others i'd buy (Clk Dtm and Cl600 or above) this has now entered the list, it would have been in there before! But i'd forgot they even made the thing cry

I think it's a bloody lovely looking car!

It looks like a smooth, stylish Mercedes, but if you look closer you realise it's a Le Mans car.

The reason this one is so 'affordable' is because the previous owner fitted Yaris Turbo wheels to it.

...only joking. I love that Merc (appart from the dodgy OEM wheels of course) but the Porsche GT1 would get my money instead!)

Arent these based on the LeMans cars that kept flipping at 200mph?
Guess thats why the residuals are pretty poor.

I think they were somewhere between £1-1.5m new, but that was sometime ago.

Enzo would probably cost you another £150K - £200K at the moment.

I would rather a Zonda F over any of them

Are they a paddle shift affair or what? Presumably they feature whatever the race car has.. some sort of racing sequential box?

thing is... wouldn't you rather have a carrera gt which does it better at a fraction of the cost?

But even the Carrera GT doesn't look like this in the engine room:

And that one just makes a Carrera GT look old fashioned

I like them because they look so extreme and different to many other supercars on the market. It's basically a Le Mans car and was only built so that the racing car could compete. I was at Le Mans in 1999 and was in the Panoz pits when the car flipped midway through the race. There happened to be a silver road legal one parked in the paddock with a gray Porsche GT1 and I'm a great fan of the hypercars of that era.
Does anyone know how many are in the UK? Anyone have any experiences? I know I should post in the Merc forum but I was hoping to hear opinions from FML owners.

Still, nowadays I'd have a Zonda F over anything else..

Wasn't one of the 5 AMG CLK-GTR Roadsters involved in the $1.7m law suit in the USA?
