After several 911's I fancy trying a Ferrari 430 with the F1 gearbox (pre owned low mileage model), I would be grateful if any owners past and present could give some info on the following points:

servicing costs and frequency

clutch life

manufacturers warranty

suitability of this gearbox around town/city

tyre life and costs

anything else you think I should know about owning and running one of these cars

I thought I would ask around hear rather than trusting the salesman!!

thanks in advance of any replies.....

All I can say is, I had a spider for a year put 3,000 miles on her and she ran like new the day I sold her. Gearbox around town is fantastic, far superior to the 360 and ultra responsive. Manufacturers warranty will be the same as your 911's, its not going to cover clutchs etc. If you drive reasonably sensibly, leave the launch control alone etc, you should be able to own this car for a very sensible cost. I lost 10k in total in mine in a year including depreciation, fantastic value I thought. Perhaps consider taking a spider as these may be in less demand right now being October and could be worth a little more come summer

Sound advice from Rich there...

I love the 430F1, great car - but then so is the Manual. Resale wise, F1 is easier to sell
