Hard as I've tried I can't get my Murcie to exceed 182mph at Bruntingthorpe. Thats with next to no petrol, wing mirrors in and on my own. So it looks like it is rather quick

Back down to earth; at Brunters your top speed is Very Much governed buy wind direction.
186 one day 194 the next.Autocar are so shambolic they dont tell us the wind conditions on their test days although they do for the track tests!!.Also Lambo have a tendency for their road test cars to be somewhat quicker than customer cars,so will be interesting to compare figures in the future.I think 200k cost new with a few bits,is 60k too expensivehehe

So according to that on the GT track in wet conditions an Aston V8 Vantage was 3 seconds faster than a 4 wheel drive 911 Turbo?

I dont think so somehow.

Too expensive at 200K?? If a Carrera GT is £300k and a McLaren Merc around about the same price with both being no quicker, than how can it be too expensive? OK the depreciation of a Murcie can be horrendous (and I should know), but there are Carrera GT's around for £150k at the minute. Surely you can't compare it to a 430 as the Gallardo is its main rival. I think the LP640 is astonishing value but I do accept I'm a little biased

FWIW a PHer has recorded higher than 186mph on a shorter run @ Brunters in his own Ford GT....

Hi Nas, hows the cycling?.
In 3 years 112k down to maybe 65k, Sl's do not hold there value. And in reality first year little and then 'dive baby dive'.Same with most cars today.
Still it winds up all 911 boys at vmax so it has its compensations.

Slow!

Agreed, Can't see a 640 new listing @ say £210 fetching must less than say £155-160 in 18-24 months time.

Lets assume a 60k blow vomit in 24 months...i know a few people that have lost close to that that on a MB/aston/fcar over 24/30 month period @ only 50/60% of the retail list of the 640.

Fingers crossed yikes

What about 640 with 25000 on it in 18 months?? How many miles are you going to be doing in yours? 2 Pearl White 640's within 5 miles of each other eh? Now that will be a sight.
