GSM phone kit in maser coupe

Hi, my 03 coupe has the phone kit installed but no ear piece. Any suggestions as to where / how i get one in the UK?

I have the card which slots into the arm rest with a pocket for the SIM card. Is the ear piece the only extra thing i need to have a working phone?

At the moment if i put a SIM in it won't let me make calls - except emergency ones.

I never use the ear piece....the car should have a microphone and speaker like most hands free systems. Is the screen showing the phone provider eg Orange? Do you have an aerial on the rear roof?
Have you inserted the sim correctly?

Thanks - no aerial on roof and phone doesn't show provider. due in for a service shortly so i will get them to check it out properly. thanks again, keith

The ear piece is rubbish and hellish to get on your ear. In fact I aim to re-wire mine to work as a nokia ear piece style one at some point.

Um put a sim card in the thing, and the phone unit should wake up and work. Have you got it inserted correctly?

If it will let you make emergency calls only, not normal calls, then the handset is Sim locked to a particular network (not the one whose card you're inserting)

This is assuming that a Maser kit works the same as a normal phone kit.

.....or you havnt got a signal which you prob wouldnt if you dont have the little aerial on the roof.

Or maybe no money on the sim - have you put it in a normal phone?
