Have just bought a new-ish house (10 years old) and am thinking of a getting a 360 as well - however, am a bit concerned that it will not fit or be one hell of a squeeze.

I measured my last garage door (also newish house - similar builder) and that was approx 7ft, so not too sure if this size is the norm, and if so will the 360 fit in ??

My last garage was also wider, the further you got in but thats now help if the car won't fit through the openeing.

So....Do any owners keep their's in such a garage ?? Or are they all doubles. I do recall a post where someone used to push theirs in, as it was the only way it would fit...Hmmm not too keen on that.

Thanks,
James...

I managed to squeeze my 360 into my garage which was a tiny new build one.
I had to fold the left hand mirror in and hang out the drivers window to get as close to the un-folded drivers mirror to the garage door.
Once in had to get out not scuffing the doors (carpet on the walls). This was easier with the window down. Once out houdini back into reach the window switch to put it back up. Shut the door and lock it up.

Getting out was easier, getting into the car is easier with the window up and then just start up and reverse straight back.

Thanks for the info guys - glad to hear it will fit. Now for the dilemma whether to buy one or a 996 turbo as they are sitting at similar prices - bit of a heart / head decision me thinks

I wonder what the response would be if you asked a Ferrari salesman... "If you have to ask, sir..."

James..

If you've always wanted an F-car, go with heart now.

Should you not like it (unlikely), you can always say you've been there and scratched the itch.

If you do like it, you'll have had longer with it!

996TT is a capable car, but not really special enough in my eyes as an "exotic" purchase. Yes it's damn fast, but so are lots of cars these days.

Hey KTR,

I was in your neck of the woods on Sat - trying to get a view of a Porsche and 360M side by side over at Westover Sports cars - Alas both had already gone. The Porsche had been fettled via DMS and was pushing out 500bhp.

Are you making the move from Porsche to 360 ?? (Hence on this part of the forum). The guy thet bought the Porsche (at Westover) apparently had gone Porsche...Porsche...360M...back to Porsche, but I think he had a gremlin filled car.

Hi James,

You could have popped in and taken a closer look

I did go to Meridien and take a 360 F1 out a couple of weeks ago. Did not like the paddle shift and to be honest the 360 did not feel anywhere near as well put together as the Porsche. Still I feel it is an itch I will have to scratch next year so I will be after one for the summer.

In the meantime the money from the car is going somewhere a little more boring.

Let me know if you want to have a look at the car, it really is a cracker.

David.

Exactly as the man said. You might need to be a bit flexible, but it'll fit in a "normal" sized garage.
