Anyone see the huge mark-up on the 599 in the classifieds? must be all the hype from the EVO review and the city boys getting their bonuses soon.

40k above list is about what ive seen. This summer it was 25k above list, amazing what a few good reviews can do. lp640 roadster first right hand drive one has gone for 40 above list too.

i put on one of these ferrari threads, that the 599gtb would get at least a 20k premiumn but nobody believed me

now look- cheapest i seen one for sale is £254k! of course you got to sell the 599gtb as quick as possible though, 5 years down the line they could be worth 60k like the 550

the guy who was looking for the 430 to buy should of put his name down for 599..even if there was a 20k deposit!

Go to your local Hyundai dealer and you can pick one up (albeit without quite as much performance) for a paltry £18k!! evil laugh

(do these people not realise that the value of V12 Dancing Donkey's head South faster than Jacques Coeasteau's DIVING belt!!)

Anyone notice that in this months EVO, that the 599GTB in the car of the year test was specced up to £218,415 as tested, (£48,415 of options over basic £170K), i bet all the cars for sale are specced up as well, time to sell, as give it not to long watch the value fall. 550 bachetta values are scary, 612 loosing loads down.

i would rather spend £250K on a clean 288 GTO. (if i had it, only £225K short).

A safe bet.

It's only time to sell if you've bought a place in the 599 queue as a speculatory investment, not to be driven, but then you would have been on the 599 list a long time ago anyway, some crazy people still want to own and drive a depreciating car nuts.

Fresh specced cars are going for 177k base at the moment, I was quoted delivery for Jan/Feb 2008 at this price.

True, life is too short and for enjoyment, if i could afford a 599, i would cherish it and use it as it was designed to be used, its only money.

But as i can not presently afford one, i can still dream.

Welldone and have fun to anyone getting one.

Thank you, although it's difficult enough speccing one.

I don't think they care. It's all about having one now for some people. Remember a few years back when the same types were paying £3,000 for a Playstation 2 becasue they, or their kids, couldn't wait?

Went to the HR Owen 599 launch last night, must say it looks awesome in the flesh. I can see why people who can afford it will pay whatever it takes to get one now.
On the other hand, if you had been on the waiting list since 2002 and have had £10k deposit sitting with the dealer since this time last year, how much would someone have to give you, to make you sell it straight away????
