orange engine light on Ferrari normally means there's been a fault detected. Not sure if same applies to Maser. Have you checked owners' manual?

Don't drive it. Call Maserati Assist and get it trailered to the dealer.

Engine problem I'm afraid - maybe something like an emissions issue.

This happens from time to time on my 4200. The last time it happened was when the windscreen wash ran out.......?

I just turn then main battery cut off knob (next to the battery) off for a few minutes and then it seems to reset its self.

Same thing for my 3200, when it comes on switch the battery off for a few minutes after which the fault light usually disappears. Otherwise just use the car as normal for a couple of days and the chances are it may just go out of it's own accord.Obviously if it stays on permenantly then it will need looking at but don't be too hasty.

I have notice the odd flashing light now and again which happens after driving in heavy rain. The last 2 days have been dry and its not doing it.

Mind you, I jet washed my car this morning and the thing did not want to start, so I think they are not very good with damp.

The throttle body sits on the front of the engine where the 2 air pipes come in, the pot is on the pedal, same as an Alfa 3L GTV, so you could get one via this source or even scrap.

Alfa GTV Pot

There are 2, but I sure one/both is the same part:

60630466 £227.08 plus VAT
46800065 £188.92 plus VAT

Ok, talking about different parts re thottle body.
David Askew will almost certainly have the thottle body part required, again a fraction of the cost.
Bet your last dollar the Alfa and Mas pot parts are the same, that kind of mark up is obscene really.

What is it with the quote thingy today?
