You may have caught this in the ads : www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/119901.htm

If I knew a bit more about what to look for and the longevity of components at this mileage I would be very interested - ahh the bliss of ignorance

Looks a nice car but when cars with a third of the mileage are available for only a bit more I don't think its a bargain. Can't imagine that the trade bid is much over £50k.

why's it due big bills? If it's been maintained properly, 48k miles is nothing . Surprisingly, ferrari engines don't seize up after 50k miles

Nice car, but price is fair considering mileage.

Looks veeeery similar to my old car. I was told there was only 1 or 2 Grigio Titanium 2001 spiders with black/red daytona seats. I'd be interested to know who the first owner was.

My car had some 36,000 miles on it when I sold it (which makes it even more likely to be my old car) and was previously owned by P1 Car Club ( and also featured in the EVO car of the year 2001 shootout )

Other than a slight problem with the roof it didn't miss a beat and was sold to me with a full Ferrari warranty.

The guy who owned it after me did a few more miles and had some repair work done on it.

Put it this way, I wouldn't buy it.

( Pics of my old car here : www.evoposters.net/carsa/album221 )

Depends if it's my old car. If it is, there are various reasons, it's repairs being one.

2001 is when the 360 Spider hit the UK, it's not rare for F-cars to have as many owners in as many months when they're first launched.

My understanding is that the colour scheme, whilst agreeable, makes this car worth about £5k less than a red/black or red/creme. Coupled to the mileage and questionable (potentially) history, it's expensive.

Put it this way, I know of a very nicely spec'd 2 owner red spider with 19k miles that was recently bought for not much more than this one.

You pays yer money etc etc.....

totally agree, dont think the car is particularlly cheap, trade is prob around £50k, especially if the mileage-history has a story!!!
