His company car is an Audi A6, I asked him when I was there a few weeks ago.
Thats such a great vid, old but still funny. Clarkson doesn't even get his name right. Valentino Bilbau??

Seen this clip a couple of times now and it never fails to make me smile. Valentino is a real nice guy as I'm sure Si will testify.

Very very pleasant gentleman, short on English, big on trouser-filling driving. Had the pleasure of a passenger ride in a Gallardo with him (on a circuit, in the wet) and it was unbelievable. Nothing fazed the guy, not even 75 degree oversteer.

To be fair, Valentino's English is very good. Certainly, the last I spoke to him, about Wayne Skyles' Twin Turbo Gallardo, he was eloquent and enthusiastic.
He's just VERY modest and totally bewildered as to why we all treat him like a Rock Star.
Bless him.

I believe that yellow Diablo Roadster was the first one into the UK and the salesmen at Lamborghini GB, (Jason Barker and Nigel Bowen-Easley), asked him specifically not to damage the car.

So he just knackered a full set of rubber instead whilst Jemimah C. tried to climb out of the car whilst spasming with fear!

Somebody told me a few years ago that the only thing you should never ask VB to do is 'test drive' your Lamborghini with you in the passenger seat...

They said that you will learn two things if you did:

1. Unsurprisingly, you'd discover that you can't drive anything like as well as he can and

2. you would especially learn that you can't drive your own Lamborghini within a tiny %age as well as he can!!

His English is at least up to a very good conversational standard and he's also able to chat amicably and well in German and French, probably Spanish, Swedish and Dutch too, come to think of it. A new career in multi-lingual translation could be his for the asking I should think, if he ever considered doing anything else than working at Sant' Agata.

As if!

He is still a legend in Lamborghini for rolling a Countach while test driving one

Agreed - he just didn't talk much (which I'm glad about, because I wouldn't have been able to reply).

Very nice bloke. I had a chat with him at Goodwood FOS the year they first bought the 2 Gallardo's up from Italy. I asked him and almost unanswerable question, which he prefered driving the Gallardo or the Murci..

He thought about it for a few seconds, then with a wry smile he replied....
