Hey guys,

Might be buying a Gallardo (MY2006) for next year but am not sure what options Lamborghini offered in 2006. Anyone that can help me out and which options are recommended?
Thanks!

The ones that come to mind are Callisto wheels, e-gear, sat-nav - tv function, electric heated seats, pearl paint, branding pack and carbon pack... everything else is pretty much standard!

Cheers, what is the branding pack? Wasn't there a sport pack as well?

Still making up my mind, both are wonderful cars. Was thinking of a 997 GT3RS before as well but too many I know have ordered them.

branding pack is basically lambo logo's on seats etc... and centre badges on the callisto wheels... never heard of a sport pack!

I've got the current options list and there are 46 items on it which would take forever to type

The main ones are egear, Callisto wheels (silver or Titanium), Cassiope wheels in Titanium, carbon ceramic brakes, branding package, electric seats, heated seats, heated door mirrors, alcantara roof lining & pillars, suede steering wheel, lifting system, navigation system, bluetooth, rear view camera, sports set up (suspension option), transparent engine bonnet, TV, winter package, comfort package and travel package (cup holders!). The other items are mainly trim options such as leather and carbon packages. Hope this helps.

As above, but key ones to look for are:
Callisto rims
Nav (with reversing camera if that's your thing)
Branding pack
Lifting system
Glass engine colour
Dual leather interior (again if the scheme works)
Coloured brake calipers
Leather pack 2
There were also new colour options for 06 e.g. celeste phoebe

Don't worry about comfort pack/sports pack or jouney pack. Good luck finding one with carbon pack or carbon ceramic brakes - they are expensive options and therefore pretty rare.

Any other q's feel free to e-mail me.

The only thing missing from this list is the CC brakes which came in with the MY2007 models -- which I think were first built after the factory summer shutdown in August

(although I saw a Gallardo being fitted with them when I was at the factory in July - but that might have been a dealer demo car)

At a guess they are ~£10,000

Actually looking again at that list I think my car has something called "sports leather" which isn't on it.
Unfortunately I no longer have the Spyder list which I ordered from.
As stated higher up, the Carbon package is fantastic, but I've not seen another car in the UK fitted with it

Outstanding info guys! I was at Lamborghini yesterday and had a look at an almost new Gallardo. Drove it and liked it alot, def. feels quicker now with 520hp. Guess I need to get used to the egear, I like manual a great deal but you can't buy a Gallardo without egear these days. A question though, does the egear shift up by itself just below 8000rpm? When you press the sportbutton, what does that change? Is it possible to get a readout on the clutch wear?

Great looking car though, forgot the optionslist so if tcf could mail it to me beer

The gearbox will autoshift up if you hit the rev limiter. The sport mode sharpens up the throttle response and gives a faster gearchange which is noticeable if you don't lift off when changing gears. It almost feels violent as the gears seem to bang home incredibly fast. I have to say that I don't bother with it.
