Anyone know anything about a new gallardo being released in 2008, saw some pictures on the web ages ago. just wondering as i am considering buying a gallardo now as the prices are very reasinable for a second hand one but might wait if a new one comoing out in 08. Also what are the major differences between say a 2004 g and a 2006 g?
Key differences:
+20bhp
0.2 secs less to 60
Slightly quicker e-gear shifts
Slightly higher top end
Changes to suspension/brakes
Increased colours list/options list
Higher list price
Overall the 06 is a better car than the 04, but I'm not sure if the current price differential is worth it. 04 cars can be had for £80k, 06 at about £120k. Bear in mind that an early car will now be out of warranty.
Hope this helps.

Ruttboy....anymore info you could share? If not, perhaps through mail? Might be buying a Gallardo MY06 so it would be nice to know. Thanks!
more power - engine up to 550bhp
SE with 2wd
That's what I heard too - from a reliable source. The 2wd will be the basis of a racing campaign.

Will it be delivered in 2008 or??
Spyder owners might not be too happy about this, just getting their cars this year!

550bhp vs 520bhp - does it really make any difference on the road
and you arn't going to buy a 2wd Spyder
Anyway cars are always going to upgraded, if you worried about that all the time you would never buy anything
TBH if you are planning on using a car on the track I think the CC brakes are a better option than the additional 30bhp

You are right, I usually say the same thing. Cars will indeed update, nice to know what to expect though.

I agree. 5 laps at my local track in my SE and I thought I was going to end up in the gravel at the end of the main straight.
Really??? You had problems with your brakes on the SE? What I have read is that the brakes are great on the Gallardo (8 pot), even for track-driving. Only problem from what I understand is that they wear rather quickly and that you need to change to a harder pad compound.

The brakes are great for every day use, but when I've used my Spyder after 20 miles on the track they just overheat
but that is no different from Porsche or Ferrari brakes
Thats why I'm getting CC brakes for my 430 coupe
