It was a customers car, so RL didnt lose out. Plus, as it is often said "no such thing as bad publicity"
Whats interesting about this case is the very low fine imposed and no jail sentence etc. A Farmer about 5 yrs ago got a £10k fine and 3 months in the slammer for driving his muck spreader repeatedly past an HSBC bank branch spaying it with manure cos they had turned him down for a loan.
I feel very sorry for this guy. I suspect the Judge was advised as to the background of the case and all the other litigation in the pipeline.

No the man is worse than that.........alledgedly took people cars on SOR, sold them and didnt pass the funds on to the owners, has CCJ for huge amounts outstanding and is currently (as I understand) under investigation by the police.
No disrepect towards M3John but that just shows that if fellow car enthusiasts aren't fully aware of his allegedly criminal activities, and his many many pending court actions CCJ's and the like, plus the countless people left empty handed after paying tens of thousands in deposits for cars that never materialised, then what hope have the general public got?
Couple of years ago Lukins was at the 'See Red' Ferrari meeting at Donnington. I drove in in the Lambo whereupon Lukins told me his stand was the Lamborghini club stand too. I left the Murcie there for 30 mins and returned to find his dealer number plates and stickers all over my car! He was furious when I tried to move it and I had to resort to threatening him before he made a space for me to move it. Not criminal of course but a small taste of what this man is like

Wow! I can't belive this guy - doing that to your Lambo...but I do know of a trader who deals various marques including Ferrari who often turns back the clock and sells very tatty (but clean looking) cars (usually they have been caned by his son!) and also sells to Joe Public.

Might be an idea to tell someone about it then. Im sure you would like to know if you're next purchase has been clocked ! as would every one on here.

This story seems all too familiar nowadays.
It is getting harded and harder to make a decent amount of money out of the sale and service of cars, especially the prestige market, because generally you are selling to well informed customers.
Some pepole get carried away with overheads and profit margins, and will do ANYTHING to get there, and thankfully, the majority on here know who they are, but there was a reason I left where I was, and also a reason I joined who I did, and I am of the opinion that hard work and honesty, and not ripping people off will always win through, and give you the reputation that people need when dealing at this level.
You just have to look at people like Dion at Elms to see what I mean.

I am new to PH so I have only just seen this thread. My word, I am quite shocked! I was invited to invest in Rosso Corsa around 3 years ago. Personally I wasn't sufficiently impressed with the business model or Richards capabilities so declined to do so.
