OK, I love my Tubi exhaust, it adds immensely to the sensory aspects of a vigorous drive - but the thing is, it isn't that neighbor friendly, particularly for early mornings and late at night. Is there any way to fit some kind of a switchable muffler and has anyone done this?

I personally havent heard of any such thing. Call Manu at Scuderia Systems he's Mr Tubi in the UK www.scuderiasystems.com/ and he'll be best to advise. He does post on here every now and again in-between counting his money

Sod the neighbours, they should be grateful that they get to hear such a noise! evil Come and live in my street – I'd be delighted to hear such a noise, whatever the time of day!!

rofl Class! You'll love it!
Neighbours are interesting. I once had one neighbour complaining that I was a nuisance, but then the one on the other side said that they loved to hear me start it up...

So I always used to rev it for neighbour B

I used to live around the corner from a traffic cop.

At the time I had a Rickman Triumph 750 with a megaphone exhaust, which I used for sprinting and hillclimbing. It was barely legal and did without such niceties as chainguards, indicators or lights.

I once saw him gesticulating wildly at me as I rode by, so I made a point of going back to apologise to him, only to find that he had been encouraging me to give it more beans....

The bloke who lived next door was also a great chap. He lent me his Ducati 900SL the day after we moved in. He was off to the Lake District for the day and just told me to put the keys back through his letterbox when I had finished with his bike.... I'd never met him before.

They were great neighbours.

The chap on the other side, however, was a Twat of the First Degree and was deeply unimpressed whenever a car or bike was fired up.

And slower. Well it seems to neatly remove all low end torque anyway. I'm all for loud exhausts but never understand why you'd do it if performance was hit. Lets face it, if we were talking about al ot of other cars we'd be using the word chav.

There must be some aftermarket exhausts that increase performance across the board surely, or hasn't anyone properly mapped one of these cars? I'm guessing it's the mapping that's the issue.

Need to use performance CATS rather than bypass pipes. Also it worth looking at remapping if your doing other mods like air filter, etc.

I'm not sure he actually got any slower after going loud. Then again it's hard to compare 2 different kinds of paint drying hehe

Really? Didn't know that. I thought removing the cats would up the HP a little. It's in for an annual in June so I can get them taken put back again if I don't like it.

Spoke to Manu when I bought my 360 Spider and he spoke so highly of the 360 tubi de cat that it is something I hope to eventually do, but for now I'm still blown away by the sound of the tubi he supplied me with so de cat can wait till november december 07.
One thing that does concern me is regarding warranty, my car has the power warranty and has been fully maintained by ofc's and it is the way I'd like it to stay, does decatting invalidate the warranty?

Err hang on, I posted that I've seen perfectly good Ferrari's have all their low end power removed by fitting an aftermarket system and you think it's baiting? What's baiting about it? Many owners have stated the fact that it happens, and would testify here if asked I'm sure. There seems to be some fixation with noise in all car marques at the moment. Surely info stating that added aural pleasure can have some side effects if helpful?

Whether lower torque is an issue for you is another matter and is obviously personal choice, and has to be weighed up against any other gains.

Not sure if this will help but there are electric bypass valves available from here www.badlanzhpe.com/page4.html
