Ferrari on Megafactories on Discovery

Anyone else see this last night on National Geographic?

Some cobblers in it but a very interesting walk through from the foundry to the test track following the manufacturing of the 599 Fiorano.

Due to be repeated this Sunday as below.......

Hopefully recorded to watch later this week - saw a trailer and the factory did look very impressive.

....obviously I was channel hopping and just came across Nat Geo..it's not on my favorites..honest

Not a bad programme and certainly worth a watch if you haven't seen a big car plant before. Apart from the Ferrari work clothes it could be anywhere though.

The keen eyed will spot various Masser bodies being prepped and painted as well.

Can't remeber seeing the tropical trees indoors to help maintain a fixed temperature and humidity in the machine shop the last time I looked round Longbridge or indeed Honda Swindon though.

None.

I did ponder a little while ago if I ought to have something more sensible I could get the wife and kids in.....but after a blast in the Gallardo I'm better again now.

Might swap something else for a more practical option (three 2 seaters is enough for anyone) but the Gallardo is staying.

Re the program last night, I too spotted the Masers being painted etc...are the assembled on the same line or are they just painted on the same paint line?

Either way, thats underlines my desired to get my bottom into a 4200.

It was a pretty good programme, I thought. The engine assembly job must be so satsifying. Does the owner get the book saying who made/did what on the car?

Oh, and I spotted the Masers too, and a couple of F430 Spiders.
