Following on from the Enzo thread, anyone knows who own F1's?

I of course know our very own Flemke does but any other well known people own one apart from Mr Bean?

A good pal of mine works for Ricardo down here on the South Coast and he says that two of the seven Directors at the firm own F1's although he has never seen them (he does work nights though).

Oh yeah, I forgot: Another pal actually works for Mclaren so I will ask him for a bit of information (don't worry, he will not relay or more than likely even know personal details).

Most F1 owners are a very private bunch.
Therefore, I am sure that they do not relish the idea of having their details spread over the internet.
However, one or two of the well documented ones include....
Jackie Stewart's son.
Nick Mason.
Alain De Cadenet.
Rowan Atkinson.
A couple that have changed hands recently include those owned by....
George Harrison.
Liam Howlett. (This is possibly the Stewart car now).
I do know of at least six other UK based owners, but I do not feel it fair, to quote their names.

These are all UK owners. The list of foreign owners is well documented elsewhere.

Not forgetting Mr Murray himself of course.

Ralph Lauren has at least one and Larry Ellison the founder of Oracle also has one.

I imagine Thomas Bescher still has one of his despite being chairman of Bugatti

I was under the impression that Jay Leno also had/has one in his extensive collection

I live near his house in Henley and if you are really lucky, you can see his son (inherited obviously) driving it around. I believe hes quite young, early twenties.

Hi there,

He used to own and race one : -

Which was then converted to a road car that looked like this

but after a full rebuild at the factory it now looks like this: -

More pictures here: - www.dunlopix.com/page35.html

Lovely car and the owner may be along in a while to say hello as he does occasionally post on here.

Regards

Tim

That is the business. Really fine looking motor, I am assuming that the individual in question is one happy person.

This might sound an odd question and perhaps one for the flemke topic however are Maclaren still open to full rebuilds of F1's? Technically speaking if you bought one would they still be happy to recondition every aspect of the car?

In a short answer yes. Although the McF1 operation within the McLaren group is very small scale they are very passionate about the cars still and will do everything for you.

Mr Bridger,

You know that this'll result in posts being made à la "Mr Bridger, is this your McLaren?", don't you?
Joking aside, looks like a fantastic car!
