Some 328 questions
Discussion
Some of the cars I've been looking at have standard exhausts.
As a non-Ferrari owner for the last 10 years, I'm a little rusty on this kind of thing.
What is the collective opinion as to which is the best sports exhaust option for a 328 GTS?
Any opinions on Rosso/black combo as opposed to the usual Rosso/Crema - one of the cars has black - but this seems to be a less favoured combo. Does it affect resale much, and should I steer clear?
Also any pointers to insurance companies for a limited mileage policy - without me having to trawl thro' all the ads.....?
Cheers in advance.

Lots of people will tell you that a Tubi is the answer.
I couldn't bring myself to spend that sort of money on an exhaust. To read about my experiences, look here.
As the exhausts are built to order there it will take several weeks before you get it, but he can build in as much or as little volume as you require.
Mine is very loud indeed, perhaps a bit too loud, but I think that it sounds pretty good.
A few people have heard it on song, maybe someone will drop by and give you a second opinion.
As far as the trim is concerned, I prefer the Crema to Nero, but nero would be much more practical.
I would just buy the best 328, regardless of the spec. I really wanted a pre ABS car, but all the ones I inspected in 2005 were crap, so I ended up buying one of the very last cars instead.
How much do you want to spend on a 328? I might have to sell mine before too long.

Why are you thinking of selling?
I run a small firm of solicitors and I am expanding the business into an old Victorian building which I am buying.
The property needs some renovation and I am not confident that I can get all the work done within my £25,000 budget.
If I run over budget, then the Ferrari has to go...
I really don't want to sell it as it an absolute peach, it wants for nothing and I have only owned it for 12 months.

Pat - budget is not really too much of an issue, but what I don't want to do is buy a car that I'm afraid to use.....
I guess £30k ish seems about right, but obviously the very low miles cars are around the £35k mark.
I'm looking at a pre-ABS car with 26k miles tomorrow at £27.5k - meant to be mint....
altho' I'm always a little sceptical until I view. Some peoples ideas of mint aren't always the same....!lottie said:
Just happened upon this thread. I am looking for a 328gts - what sort of car would i get for 25k?
Depends whether you want RHD or LHD. You should get a superb LHD for that price. If you want RHD you may also get a good one but you'll be looking at higher miles (not always a bad thing) and you'll have to be much more careful how you check the car for rust, etc.
