Was up at lambo Manch today, they've just had their first 07 model demo spyder equipped with Carbon Brakes. Again this is a 7K option. Would be interested to see how much better they are than the steels, as I don't reckon the standard brakes are that bad (even when you spank the arse of them round Donington!)

Andy - you need to move up North mate, the amount of time you're spending up 'ere

How did the std brakes perform at Donnington ?

Is the Gallardo still de-catted ?

The brakes seem relatively good value at £7k if you compare them to a set of fitted luggage for £3k

7k is quite good when you consider I have just paid £10,450 to get them on my 430

I think it's a good option to have on the Gallardo, because I have found that after a few laps on the track that the standard brakes do fade

Some of the cars we were driving at the weekend had the carbon brakes, but given that it was -8 overheating wasn't really a problem

BTW the brakes look huge on the Gallardo as they are the exact same brake unit as on the LP640

Hi Rick,

Yep I had no real issues with the brakes round Donington even as fast as I drive. The new motor is still de-catted so their delivering it back Thursday. Just have to get it MOT'd and then I can put some miles on it.

Andy.
