Always thought they were painted on, until an owner of a 360CS with the stripe said it was a sticker. Still looks the bollox though.

The factory option is hand painted on then lacquered(sp?) over the top.
Mine is the cheap stick on version. looks great. i had it side by side to a painted one and saw no visual difference.

they're all vinyl stickers but the OEM ones are clearcoated after to flatten to paintwork.

Maybe they hand paint the vinyl stickers before applying them.
