In wapping these days, just spotted a black Gallardo with the wrong plate on it, D*BLO, sounded nice though...

That would be a cool plate if you think of Diablo as meaning the devil or whatever evil part of hell he is supposed to represent.

But yeah, does suck that it wasn't on a Diablo.

Ruttboy reckons he knows of four - 2 black, 1 silver and 1 orange. Previous to that I had always been told there were three.

Just seen a black Gallardo spyder flying up Gloucester Road with the roof off - about a mile away I mouthed to my missus 'any money that's a Gallardo..' - she rolls her eyes and a minute later it steams past at about 70mph in a 30 (I was pleased anyway). To be fair he was driving it like a bit of a plonker but it sounded lovely.

No, mine's a GT. Don't know how many VTs are in the UK, but wouldn't mind betting someone on here can offer a good educated guess.

it was originally on a dark green? sv that was written off at j2 of the m1, it then got sold to another diablo owner, i remember seeing the plate years later at the svr race at brands hatch.
i guess the owner upgraded to a murcie and kept the reg, it must look odd on the wrong car? of course i'm jealous rage

It's on a Gallardo?

Surely you wouldn't "upgrade" from a Diablo to a Gallardo?

But, at least to me, the Diablo seems to have so much more Lambo prestige, and there's less of them around... Whereas Gallardos are fairly common compared with Diablos.

i got mixed up with the first few posts, sounds like it's actually on a gallardo?
regarding "upgrading" from a diablo to a gallardo, if you only take the values into consideration it could go either way, a new gallardo costs more than most used diablo's, but used gallardo's can cost less than some diablo's. you pays your money.........

A fair point.
But remember, a new Gallardo buyer could have had a Diablo if they'd wanted as there are always a few for sale. There just wouldn't be enough to go round.
I got my Gallardo new, for £130,398.83. Which would have paid for a couple of Diablos, 3 Countach's (at a stretch) or a used Murci plus a fair bit of change. A fact I have to bite my lip from pointing out when the occasional numpty asks why I didn't get a "proper" Lambo. rolleyes
I didn't get a Gallardo because I couldn't afford the alternative and I suspect there are plenty of others who felt the same way.
Diablos are still cool though. thumbup
And cheap. laugh

Oo no, I love Gallardos! Don't get me wrong. They look great, and sound awesome with a Tubi! But if I already had a Diablo (which I don't) then I wouldn't "upgrade" to a Gallardo... Maybe get a Gallardo too, if I could afford it, but never replace it. I would feel this is probably correct with the majority of Diablo owners. I want a VT, so if anyone's feeling generous...hehe

I don't know about that. How many Diablo owners do you actually know?
