At least the car wasnt damaged, all light hearted humour at the end of the day
Out of interest Doug, what sort of mileage are you doing in the car, and how is it coping with being a daily commuting vehicle ?

It’s around a 40 mile commute each day
Total mileage is ~ 6,000 in 8 months
Car has been absolutely fine since a slight problem on the 2nd day I had it on the way back from Italy
All 4 tyres are practically gone
3 of the wheels have now got minor damage – you can’t drive in London everyday without kerbing them occasionally
The protective film has been damaged in two places but no paint damage
Clutch feels fine but I guess I’ll see the damage when it goes in for service
All in all a great car for commuting
Although it’s only doing 9 mpg
Worst journey I’ve had was 3 hours to drive the 6 miles back from the city to Putney when I lived there – it was pouring with rain, traffic kept inching forward and the car worked fine
I get the new 430 on Friday so it will be interesting to compare the Ferrari with the Lambo

thank f**k for that. was expecting to see chavmarks on it ("tags"
.There's a guy that lives near me (you might know what I'm on about here Traxx) that has a double garage leading on to a main road. He always parks a lovely (new) XK8 on it...every few weeks, som low-life 'tags' his pure-white double garage doors. I'd string the litte
up if I caught them! LittleBro said:

Is that Wandsworth-way LittleBro? Drove past a Jag XK outside a garage that looked like it'd been abused earlier on today.
LOL! I hope not, poor sod. I reckon they only whitewashed it again this week!! Its just of the South Circular, near Roslyn Park. That's certainly the right area. The one I saw was literally 10 yards off the S. Circular.

The last time someone did that to my car, I left the scrawling on for a few days until I actually got round to washing it.
When I did, the scrawling ended up being VERY visible post-wash - it seems that when they use their finger, they ingrain dirt into the paint, and if you don't wash it off pronto then it actually becomes a tattoo that a wash will not remove!
Thankfully T-Cut did the job, but only T-cut was able to!

When i left my company`s Gallardo in Nottingham, some one wrote TWAT in the side panel, although instead of using their fingers they used a screwdriver. The little b**tards.
Stuff like that makes me sick! Why? What's the point? I just dont get it. I had my M5 keyed a few years ago parked on the Embankment and really cant understand the logic. Sure, steal it, rob the components and sell them to feed a habit...but scratching a car...I honestly think I would end up doing time if I found someone scratching my car on purpose. Mindless. Idiots. Yeah, trouble is living in Nottingham there are always these kind of problems. Ive had my Ferrari`s roof burned with fag ends and people just throwing their litter in it when the roofs down. And everytime I go out i get called every name under the sun. But wouldnt swap my cars for the world.

Thats tragic. Very very sad indictment on the general mentality of people. Reactions like that are from very small minded people.will26 said:

If you had a Lambo this wouldn't happen, honestly people's perceptions are totally different. Never had a bad comment or action against mine
