Suprising as The Suns reporting is normally along the lines of -

"Evil driver of car capable of 250 mph killer speeds, crashes only 2 miles away from a school where innocent children were playing"

As you can tell. I am not a fan of the tabloids hehe

Is this the same £20,000-a-day Veyron that was posted on here a month or so ago?

well evil would definatly be a strong word..... but the guy was doing a 100mph in a 40zone, and did leave a woman in need of hospital attention..... so i wouldnt exactly call him a saint.

Agreed. But remember this is the Sun saying it was doing 100mph, if it was doing 100mph the damage would much worse than that.

I know that Rio Prestige run a Koenigsegg.
I doubt if they have a Veyron in their fleet.
What about that firm that hired the Murcielago LP640 to those mad Asian guys in London.
Same outcome. Crash!

Why would you doubt that we have a Veyron?

Sorry Northo. That wasn't meant as a slur on your company.
I just can not see that having a £800k car on the books is likely to be profitable.
Go on, prove me wrong and tell me that you have one.

You are absolutely right - we don't. But we do have a Zonda and something else wild on the way.

As an operator, the idea of giving the keys to an unassessed and potentially inexperienced driver fills me with horror. If the car was indeed on hire, I can only think of one company who claims to hire one. They have told me in the past that the car they offer is a friend's/ business partners that he is willing to hire on occassion. How they get it insured is beyond me.

This type of thing gives car hirers/ clubs a bad name.

I am now going to go and find some wood to touch.
