Namely, Bluetooth on the sathav system, and the new 2007 TMC (traffic information) DVD which is now available. For the Bluetooth, i hear of costs from £80 for the Bluetooth module, to £600, yes really, to supply and fit BT.

Help, advice on either would be great,

Simon

Really? That is expensive! What is so good about the bluetooth kit that they fit?

I'd like bluetooth on mine too but £600 is way too much but equally i don't want to fit a Nokia kit or parrot, I think it would look crap!

Simon what reg is your Gallardo if you don't mind me asking?

The figure of £600 was quoted for fitting the audi bluetooth unit to the back of the satnav.

You can guess my car's reg, VXX neo, although i was asked recently, so what it is a 2.5 litre?

That is too much I'm gonna look around for something cheaper, I know a few guys who work for Audi hopefully they'll be able to pull me a favour!

I would guess it's an 06?? I'm making that assumption because of the wheels and clear indicators

who asked you if it was a 2.5 litre lol?! a 5 year old?

It's an 05 with 06 badge (much nicer) wheels and indicators, plus the rear undertray is painted SE gloss black which looks great

I posted some pic of the under tray on lambopower under the uk section, the 06 badge is made from one piece rather than the 05 badge on which the bull was stuck on with glue - the one on my car slipped of the badge after the glue melted in the sun, it also looked tatty and tarnished. The 06 badge is just a much higher quality. Alloys are about £3300 from any dealer with the centre caps costing a little more. But you do see them for sale on ebay US site.

Regards
Simon

If you want any better pics of the rear, PM me and I'll email you some.

The bluetooth system on my 2006 430 was utterly useless, might have been the Dougs Fezza.

The problem with my 430 is that it just doesn't want to match up with my Nokia
Still not sure if its the phone or the Becker system, although my only comment so far on the Becker system is that it really crap

I really like the Lambo Mp3/Navigation, if anyone can do me a "cheap" phone connection can you contact me please

I can get you a cheap Nokia CK7-W bluetooth car kit but it won't display on your navigation display unfortunately which is what I would like on mine personally!

What Nokia are you using btw, there are different versions of bluetooth and not all of them match you see.

The Ferrari gets to the bit where you need to match codes, then fails
But the Ferrari works fine with my wifes Motorola
I guess I'll just get a new phone

That is strange Traxx as that suggests that both the phone and car kit are speaking to each other. It is more usual with compatibility problems that the car kit will not even detect the phone.
Do you get the option to input a code into your phone? for you car kit to connect?

Simon,

Lambo Birmingham did the retrofit BT to my car the other week. It was around £750 I think (still waiting on final invoice). Admittedly not a cheap method of getting BT in the car but it works through the MMI satnav screen as per the original factory fit and is an option I would have chosen - my car was a dealer spec showroom car. I haven't had a chance to try it out fully as yet as I've not had time to use the car but I'll report back on the quality once I have.

I'm tempted but with wanting new wheels and stuff I doubt I'll do it, for the minute anyway, doubt anyone would be able to hear you on it anyway with the loud roar of the engine even whilst travelling at slow speeds?!

I am 99% sure its the same one they use in the Audi, if it is i have had no probs with the one in the RS4. Very good quality and hasnt let me down except when used with a crappy treo! Apart from that the blackberry works a treat and the phonebook downloads to the mmi as well ;-) V handy!

yes, I enter the code, it them waits ~1 minute then says connection failed

TBH I really hate the "new" Becker hi-fi/navigation in the 430 - do you know that to play MP3 you need to take out the navigation CF card
