255 Spider wanted, how many made ?

Well at long last I am in a situation to buy my dream car, I sold my 993 last week so the hunt is on the question I have is does anyone know how many 97 - onwards rhd drive spiders were made ?

I am basically looking for a 355 spider in red / cream preferably 97 onwards / manual and preferably with a sports exhaust.

I have about 40 - 46k to spend depending on milage etc etc but finding it pretty hard to find a decent example any help would be greatfully received

can't help with '97 on cars but here are worldwide/RHD production numbers

355 Spider= 3714 - RHD UK = 454

Blimey 454 !!! is that all no wonder I am finding so hard if you assume 50% are red and 50% have a black interior thats probably only 125 ish cars over a 4ish year production run

rosso/crema 355 is the holy grail of combos and the one normally wanted by 1st time buyers.

make sure you do your homework on the 355 ; HPI, PPI and compression test are vital

So far the things I am looking out for are :

Manifolds
Roof mech
Rust under front wings
Belts and service history

and was going to try for a later ecu model and have PPI probably by verdi

Is ther anything else I need to look for ?

The only one that has come close is one on autotrader in yourkshire that I went to look at but its done 38k and only has a stamped service history with no bills / invoices.

It has rust on both bottom wings and needs the wheels refurbing and dosent have a sports exhaust.
