My day out at Silverstone today - a story with pictures
Discussion
Hi there,
I know there are a few other threads running about today at Silverstone but I am going to be posting the pictures of today in a few parts and thought it would be easier to do it all in one new thread.
Please click on the pictures to see the resized versions as Pistonheads will automatically squash them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My day started by meeting Paul (CUE99T) just outside Derby. Paul had very kindly agreed to let me be his passenger for the day.
After I had taken a few pics of the car we headed off to meet up with the others.
We met Ross and his Ferrari 355 Targa at the A38 junction and then met up with Crikeymikey at the M6 toll road.
We hung around at the M6 toll booths for a while and waited for simonspider (Murcielago), V10NEO (Gallardo) and cummingsa (Gallardo).
Once they arrived the convoy headed for Silverstone
The journey was slightly interuppted by the need for a petrol stop. Those Murcielagos are thirsty beasts.
Meanwhile the others had time for a chat.
The convoy reassembled and got ready for the off again.
Not easy to get good pictures when you are in the passenger seat of a 200mph supercar on a british country road.
Andy began to think that his stripes were perhaps not one of his best ideas
After a superb drive to Silverstone the convoy arrived safely at WRC Technologies to meet up with the southern convoy.
Hope you enjoyed part 1. Part two will follow shortly.
Regards
Tim
