As per the title.

Has anyone made any plans for Supercar Sunday on 17th June ?

I'm happy to arrange a get together if people are up for it ?

It wasnt a bad day out last year, the convoy in from Lambo HW was a hoot and the 180mph blasts with a load of other Lambo/Ferraris etc around the Aston Martin test track was a bit of fun too

I've emailed Lambo HW tonight to see if they are doing the usual breakfast meet at their place, then convoy in down the M40.

LAMBO HIGH WYCOMBE GUESTS:

- Mosi (Steve) : Gallardo Coupe
- Autofocus (Tim) : ?
- NatH (Nat) : TVR Tuscan S
- traxx (Doug) : Gallardo Spyder or Ferrari F430
- reeso : TVR Griffith 500SE
- crikeymikey (Mike) : Gallardo Coupe
- uracco 250s (Leslie) : Lamborghini Uracco

ATTENDEE's (see you there chaps)

- Ruttboy (Spyker)

Steve,

Definately going have been for the last two years, although you need to correct the title as Supercar Sunday is on the 17th June (fathers day). It will be fantastic if you can organise a get together, something along the lines of Silverstone would be superb but I reckon with this much notice you should be able to get together even more cars. Only problem you will have is that it is the same weekend as Le Mans.

Official site is here: -

www.supercarsunday.co.uk

Here is a picture from last years event - 3 Enzos in the same place at the same time

Last year there were some great cars including: -

Porsche Carrera GT
Numerous Lamborghini Murcielagos including a 40th Anniversary
Ford GT
3 x Ferrari Enzos
Ferrari 575 Superamerica
Lamborghini Gallardo

plus many more

Heres to a great day.

Regards

Tim

Cripes Tim, how do I edit the thread title - typo!

I was there last year - we got out on track with two of those Enzo's (one of them belongs to Paul Bailey - the chap running the yellow CGT in EVO Mag). It was a great day.

Are we all going there individually, or should we get some convoys organised in from various corners of the UK, and maybe all rock up together as a Pistonheads posse.

I am organising something with the PureGT Club too.

Steve,

Not sure how to edit a thread title, perhaps one for the moderators.

I would love to travel there as part of a convoy just tell me where and when to meet and I'll be there.

Managed to spend a bit of time in convoy with an Enzo on the way home from the event last year

If I remember right Paul B took three of his cars last year (Enzo, Yellow Carrera GT and Orange Murcielago).

Regards

Tim

I have emailed the Mods to edit te thread title Tim, thanks for correcting me.

Yes, Pauls yellow CGT was static as a display in the museum and his wife drove the orange Murci down whilst he was in his Enzo. The Murci had a blowout whilst out on track near the end of the day!

Steve,

God that was quick the thread title has been changed.

His Murci is a beauty !!

I hope he will display his Carrera GT outside this year as it was a real pain in the backside photographing it indoors last year.

Regards

Tim

I would go...

But no-one in my family likes cars very much.

Unless one of you wants to take me there.

There has been for the last 2 years doug. Its supposed to be a 70mph limit though (insurance reasons), but the pace car just zooms off and we all hung back at 30mph until we saw it disappear into the distance...then we had to catch up up (it would of been rude not too!)

Personally, I thought it was a right hoot - side by side with a bunch of exotica flat out (the noise was immense)

I will post some pics up on the thread I started on this subject in PureGT (Italian Section)....havent sussed posting pics on here yet!

Count me in for the day. The breakfast meet at LHW has to be one of the highlights along with the convoy. I will try to bring up Laurence with his Gallardo SE too (just for you Crikey!).

I think I was on track with you Nat H and Mr Mosi (which was the second session). I just hope the driving this year is better than last as it was nearly a total disaster. Paul B, myself and a cossy almost had a major problem because as you said, everyone went for the pace car and dissapeared. Us 3 and one other waited for ages then went for it. On the first sharp right turn (turn 3/4, banked and blind) we were not expecting the whole group of cars to be parked on the otherside waiting for the pace car to bugger off again after you had cought it up. Trying to slow from a high speed, when the car is balanced, halfway through a corner, with a merci on your left is mighty hard work. If its going to be like that again I will stick well clear.

Ok, I spoke with Graham Shultz at Lambo Wycombe this morning and they will be organising something for Supercar Sunday

I will come through with more details, but assume its the same as last year:

- Early morning meet at Lambo Wycombe
- Convoy down the M40 to Gaydon (Heritage Museum)
- Supercar Sunday event (including track slots around Aston Martin test track)

Ah its sooo annoying when Motor events clash with Le Mans.
Half the cars in the UK go off there

Yeh, I'll be there.
Last year's event also coincided with the Gumball I think, so Graham was off in Malaysia dragging Murci Roadsters out of the trees with the LM!

Where abouts is this ?

And... IF I can make it back to the UK, would anyone want the journey + event shot ?
I should have quite a good HD camera in June, so would like to make use of it !

edit: Its a sunday, so I can come back for the weekend
