Just interested in your opinions.

I live in a pretty nice area, Guildford, Surrey and my road is a cul de sac. I have no garage as it was converted into a cinema for my business, so my question is, if i buy a Gallardo it has to live on the driveway in full view. This makes me a touch nervous and i was thinking maybe if i did it to keep it covered whilst at home, or do you thin this would make it worse?

Ay thoughts appreciated

There is a silver Gallardo that is always parked on the road up near the Science Museum - it always looks to be ok

Theres another one, yellow, in a communal carpark on a street near Paddington Station - again always looks fine. Mind you, they are more common than Ford Fiestas in London...

Just will mean you will need to wash it more often.

But if I had one, it would not be a chore.

Just incase it does get scratched I would got for something like silver, certainly not black

When I was living in Putney I was thinking about getting a Gallardo to leave on the street.
iirc I asked about the cost of getting pannels repainted in the event that something happened and it wasn't that bad

If you've got a driveway you should be ok. Driving around London there's lots of areas where a mega expensive house doesn't get you a garage/driveway and I regularly see Ferraris, Lambos, AMs, etc permamently parked on the street.

On one street near my house there's three 911s, a DB9, a 4200 and a 360 all who just park on the street. I park my 997C2S on the street.

Just means your insurance may be a little more and you'll have to wash it more often.

Echo what the other guys have said, definately check your insurance first though.

I live in a what is supposed to be a low risk area and they still insisted on the car being locked in an alarmed and secure garage overnight.

Just a word of warning about covering the car, personally i would not use the car cover unless you are sure the car is 100% spotless and grime free. Any dirt or road grime will scratch the paint if the cover moves around in the wind or as you apply and remove it.

Apart from that go and get one... The summer is just a round the corner...

If you look around Belgrave Square there is a Yellow Zonda which parks in Residents Parking (together with an SLR)

Sorry can't remember what the figure was

White isn't going to work well for a car parked outside, but more importantly I thought that Lambo were having problems colour matching the balloon white - so if anything happened to the paint it might be very expensive to fix
With yellow remember there are two yellows - and one will cost more than the other to fix

I have an underground parking spot at work (near Victoria/Belgravia) - there's another SLR that parks on the street outside my office with a plate XXX SLR (together with a 997TT and a beautiful 430)

Wilton Street (actually my wife's office building - I work a 5min walk away). You nearby?
