Hi All

Been lurking for a few months and after several years of Nobles and 911's I'm now in the market for a good late 04/early 05 Gallardo.

Quick question: whats the deal/view on buying off dealer network (ie; from an independent) -- assuming of course a FLSH ??

Cheers Mark

Hi Mark,
As you may have read, i have just brought my Gallardo from an independent. No problems so farcool
There doesn't seem to be a large amount of cars out there at the min, imao. Do you know what colour/spec etc your after?
General view is that Dion (Elms) is a good place to start, (He also helped me out as well so top blokebowbow)

No problem buying from an Indy, so long as they're known.

Bear in mind that if the car is low mileage it may never have had a service. For '05 Lamborghini even abandoned the 1000 mile oil drop, that was a freebie for the pre-'05 model, as it was considered to be a waste of time.

First service is 7500 miles, not annually. So a low mileage '05 may NEVER have seen the dealer since it was collected by the original buyer.

Personally, I would always want the car looking over by a dealer as part of the deal. Software updates and other mods may be outstanding, and Sant' Agata doesn't tend to make this knowledge public.

And then there's the clutch to consider. An Indy may not necessarily know what to look for (though, again, the known independents can be trusted on this matter).

Hope this helps, Mark.

Good luck.

Cheers guys ... seems more research in in order.

As for spec - still working on that - so long as its in great condition with wheels is about where I'm at ;-)

(edited for my poor spelling!)

It will be interesting to know how you get on, it seems very few cars are really for sale. When I bought mine, independent dealers just wouldn’t touch them
