Good evening, weighing up my options re a nice shiny 355 + tip car or my usual newish BM. I have done a fair bit of delving and other than the documented valve guide and manifold things 355`s seem fairly robust? I am fairly spannerey so i would do all exhaust, brake, clutchey things myself but the belts sacre me a bit. Are there any other people who do a bit of their own maintainence whom maybe could pass on their experince? I realise each car is individual but the PH collective might be able to help. Also do rhd cars suffer more ills versus LHD by virtue of the fact they were designed to be LHD.

When i have dissected running reports from owners on other sites it seem that if you take away the polish, exhaust and consumable costs that these cars are an option for those prepared to put in a bit of time and passion.

guidance appreciated

Join ClubScuderia - quite a bit of experience on there.

Chap called Terry (that's his forum name too) rebuilt one.

Also ferrarispider's (on here often) a top chap and does much/most of his own work on his spider.
