My new 360 has the number plate W* FER (no not w*anker-I have blanked out the number for reasons of national security

I usually hate it when I see X5 on (you guessed it)...X5s and so on...

So is a plate ending in "FER" cool, acceptble or plain cr*p?? I cant quite decide.

Most people wouldn't make the association I'd imagine.

Merc, BM, Lambo, Masser etc are abbreviations people understand. I have never heard of someone refer to a Ferrari as a 'FER' before.

Now that's more like it. The 'F40' designation makes the association.

hmmmm?! Think it's a bit crap really! lol.

Not sure what would be better though?!

I'm looking for a new plate (that won't cost the earth) for my gallardo too.

After seeing the 'Driving Sunglasses' thread, I vow to never ask PHers what is or isn't cool.

If you want a candid honest answer, I think that plate is really poo.

A mate of mine had X88 FER on his 360CS, I thought that was naff too.

Sorry, you did ask

Yeah X88 racing, just that the guy was no racer and thought he was, total muppet who got licked up on track and made every excuse under the sun.

As for the plate, if your happy with it no problem, sod what anyone else thinks

KLM - I thought you were a decent guy, but obviously you are not.

I have 3 trophies from podium placings from my racing. What have you got big mouth?

Incidentally, I thought X88 FER was a crap plate too which is why I gave it away when I sold the car. It just fitted with the group of cars which all had X88 plates.

Karl, that's not a very nice thing to say. You've been on BM3W long enough to know that Tony doesn't spout crap like that.

Whoops, sorry Tony I'm not refering to you, not reading the post 100%.

There is someone with X88 at the front of reg who attends track days and gives it the big un, I didn't read the post correctly and see X88, now I've read it again I see it's your reg (FER).

Too many Magners at lunch

I saw EN07 FER on a spanking new F430 spider the other day. I made the association, but I don't many others would TBH. But I guess if you don't want to fork out for a private plate, it's better than just random letters and numbers.

I think as someone else says, if YOU like it, it'll do. I have a B16*** plate a few years back and loved....in hindsight, it wasnt that cool, but at the time I liked it. Enough said.

Don't hang me ffs, I'm just saying what I have seen, if I was refering to Tony I would have said so.

Didn't think it would be long before someone started the insults.
