In my previous post I was having all sorts of electrical gremlins including electric windows that only worked when pressing the brake pedal anongst others. I managed to eliminate all of those - I found a blown fuse. It was No16 in the passenger footwell which had blown. However on replacing this and disconnecting the battery for an hour to try and reset it, the ABS and EBD warning lights stay on, as does the NO/ASR light in the warning panel. Anyone any bright ideas before I take it to the stealers?
cheers

The presence of these errors usually indicates that "the output driver has detected an overcurrent; possible short circuit" according to the SD2/3 help file. The errors will need printing and then clearing from the Bridge CAN ECU (possibly the ABS ECU as well) with an SD2 / 3 and then retesting. Replacing a fuse does not cure the underlying problem and it DOES need checking.

Be aware that a failure of these systems could be highly dangerous particularly the EBD rendering braking of the car similar to a kart and therefore needs checking without delay. As this requires SD2 /3 diagnostics, it's either an Independent or a Main Agent.

hope this helps
