I can't get my MP3 player working in my Gallardo SE. I've tried SD cards of different sizes but with no luck. Is there a trick to this?

Sorting mine today in an MY07 Spyder, guess it's the same system.

Pretty sure it's just a case of hit the Cd option and it then recognises the SD card but will let you know if any different

Right, I seem to have a problem too.

It recognises the SD cards, but instead of bringing up the 200 songs it's only recognising 7 on each card??

All the same type of files, so why would it only recognise 7 totally random ones?

Firstly check the card is FAT formatted.

Second check the files are all formated with the correct encoding. MP3 has several different encoding algorithms and not all MP3 players recognise them. if you buy a decent Mp3 package like MP3 maker then you can check the encoding on each track. it may well be that the 7 random tracks are encoded in a format the player understand and the rest aren't. You can often get the same problem encoding for specific devices such as PSP's.

Thanks for that nopantshans

Card is definitely FAT formatted.

Some of the files created using Windows Media Player are showing as MP3 Format and the others as WMP format. Is there an easy way to change all these to MP3 format?

Cheers

This question comes up quite a lot - it's always the FAT vs FAT32 format issue

regarding mp3 files I use some shareware I found called Audio Converter but I'm sure there are better programs for converting files to MP3

Thanks for the reply. The FAT formatting I can manage (just), but the rest is beyond me I'm afraid. I guess I'll keep using the CD changer. At this price, I expect to plug and play.
