LOL, I got my copy in the post this morning.

Stitched up there Andy!

Nice to see Jonny's Diablo immortalised in the pages of EVO Mag too.

Hi there,

Sorry Andy couldn't resist a chance to post the picture again: -

Haven't seen the new copy of EVO yet as my subscription copy has not yet arrived.

Trying to resist the urge to nip out and see if I can find a copy in the local supermarket.

Regards

Tim

The top photo of the Murcie on the track is great Tim - they gave you a credit at the bottom of the page! And they printed a couple of Andy's (Rico). I'm honestly amazed they still want words off me every month, its been in there 2 and a half years now..But not for much longer..it will very soon be 'End of Term'

an update on SG54 anyway..

Thanks to Lambochick & her other half for sharing the info, in a few days its going by truck to the factory. The labour rate there is 50 Euro's (£31) an hour. Lambo London want £120ish an hour in comparison, which on a 60 hour booked job is about £8000 plus VAT, plus parts.(New Crank about £5k retail plus £1k of other bits). Lamborghini agreed to only go 50% on parts tight bug*ers. The factory will charge just £2000 labour for the same job. So its going to get a full bottom end rebuild including crank for about £5k. The transport is being done by a company in Virginia Waters who are charging £1000. So I might as well have the brakes upgraded to the newer spec 'Gallardo' type setup for another £1500. So I doubt it will be back before the white beast materialises end of June But I hope I'm wrong.

One supects the Virginia waters motor company, he's in safe hands, they are trusted with the Veyron deliveries.

Wouldn't it be more fun to drive it down? Or are the things needing to be done things that can't withstand a trip down?

Ah yeah, I suppose a new crank isn't something you buy out of choice.
